Florida Division

Forward: Jared Salminen, Florida Eels

Salminen (‘04/Port Charlotte, Fla.) is a sixth-year USPHL veteran in his second season with the Eels Premier squad. He showed his veteran leadership by putting up two goals and four assists for six points during the Eels’ time at the USPHL Florida College Showcase. For the season, he now has 41 points in 28 games. He has played in 178 career USPHL games to date.

 

Defense: Hugo Rova, Bold City Battalion 

Rova (‘03/Sweden) posted a pair of goals and added four assists for six points while the Battalion went 2-2 in their first USPHL Florida College Showcase appearance. He was second in ice time for the Battalion with 22:38 per game in ice time. Rova currently has 31 points in 26 games.

 

Goaltender: Sam Edmands, Atlanta MadHatters 

Edmands (‘03/Richmond Hill, Ont.) put up a great standout performance for his team at the USPHL Florida College Showcase as they went 3-1, falling only to the defending National Champion Northern Cyclones. Edmands stopped a total of 59 out of 61 shots for a .967 save percentage at the end, thanks in large part to a 27-save shutout against the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes. He is 7-4-1-0 with a .933 save percentage for the current season.

 

Southeast Division 

Forward: Matsvei Marshchanok, Potomac Patriots

It was another superstar performance during the four games of the Patriots at the USPHL Florida College Showcase. The ‘05 from Minsk, Belarus, posted two hat tricks and two other two-goal games for a total of 10 goals, with two more assists for a 12-point run in the four games, which the Patriots swept. Matsvei, a Pueblo Bulls NCDC tender, now has 36 goals and 76 points in just 30 games this season.

 

Defense: Keaton Toenjes, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes

Toenjes (‘03/Gilbert, Ariz.) put together a powerful performance with seven assists over four games, during which they went 2-2. He also led the Jr. Canes with 1.33 blocks per game at the showcase. With his seven points, he surpassed his points total of 2022-23 by standing with 30 points through 27 games.

 

Goaltender: Andris Zalmanis, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes 

Zalmanis (‘04/Riga, Latvia) put together a fantastic showcase during which he posted a 1.00 goals against average by giving up just two goals in one game and shutting out Palm Beach with a 25-save shutout in the other. Overall, he came away with 45 saves on 47 shots and a 1-1 record.
