The Florida Eels Gage Dill Commits To NCAA Division 3 Buffalo State College
The Florida Eels are thrilled to announce that 2001 forward Gage Dill has committed to NCAA Div. 3 Buffalo State College for the 2022-23 season. Dill’s commitment is the Eels’ 301st player to advance on to college. Gage has been a phenomenal player for the Eels in his junior hockey career. He is an extremely gifted player. He is an excellent skater with stealth like moves. He is slippery and very difficult to play against. A natural goal scorer soft hands with peripheral vision. In his 4 year 124 game tenure with the Eels he scored 92 goals and 154 assists for 246 points averaging 2 points per game. Equally amazing is he had only 64 minutes in penalties during that time frame. This is quite impressive.
Gage had many options available to him. He took a long time to consider the schools who recruited him but, in the end, he felt Buffalo State College was simply the right choice for him. The academics, the campus, and the hockey program. He is very excited about playing for Coach Steve Murphy and his coaching staff. They always made him feel welcome and very interested in Dill. The Eels have had several players who committed to BSC in the past and currently have 2 Eels alumni who are on the BSC roster.
BSC is getting a great individual apart from hockey. He is a high character person. Comes from a loving and supportive family. We are all very proud of Gage and his accomplishments and wish him the best on his next journey not only in hockey but as a college student and in life. He is heading to Nationals this week enroute to win a National Championship. Good luck Gage
