Jake came to the Eels last season as a rookie and lead his team in scoring. In 47 games, he had 17 goals and 19 assists. He had 4 PPG and 4 PPA. No doubt one of the league’s top rookies. He is a home-grown Florida Eel where he played mite-midget. He understands what we are all about… Our history and what we are all about….We are all about advancing our players. And he like the entire Court family, they have completely bought in… He has had great pedigree following in the footsteps of his brother Jordan who was team captain and one of the team’s leading scorers.
Premier coach Frank Scarpaci says “Jake is one of the most skilled players in the USPHL. He has incredible hands, a smooth skater and a pure knack at scoring. He makes it look easy. He gets into the dirty ice areas and takes hits for the benefit of the team. This kid arrives to the rink one may be 2 hours before practice shooting 100 pucks and just getting prepared”
Elite coach Alex Sanchez says he know last year’s production was, last season was a feeling out period for Court. We can only imagine what he will do this year. Jake learned the speed of the game, the intensity and now it is his time. He will have a break out year this season. We saw one of our players increase his point production by 60% last season and we expect similar advancements from Jake”
GM Scarpaci says one thing for sure is this kid has the heart and fortitude. He will drive to the net regardless who is standing him up on defense. He has the determination and the insatiable Will to Win and do what is necessary to achieve it. He has great vision on the ice and we expect him to be an impact player for us.”
