The Florida Eels Are Thrilled to Announce that Kaleb Harrop has Committed to Westfield State University ACHA Div. 2 for the 2022 Academic year.
Kaleb Harrop a 2000 date of birth left shot forward; a three year veteran of the Florida Eels – is probably one of the Eels Elite team most dominant players. He now holds the record for all-time leading scorer for the Eels Elite team. In 3 seasons he has 61 goals 52 assists for 113 points. Kaleb has a lethal shot that slays opposing goalies. A key guy on the power play. He has great vision, a consummate competitor, possesses high hockey IQ, outstanding skill set and very high compete level. He is outstanding leader on and off the ice. Kaleb had a plethora of interest from college coaches, but he chose WSU as it felt right. A very good fit academically and for hockey. The program plays in a strong hockey environment and the school is in the heart of education: Massachusetts. Harrop will join teammate Matthew Schoer, standout goalie for the Eels this season who also committed to WSU.
We will miss Kaleb in our program. This is a young man with impeccable character. He comes from a very supportive family who have made inordinate sacrifices to see their son realize his dreams to play College hockey. He has shown unwavering commitment, determination, dedication and loyalty to our Eels organization. We wish him the very best in his future. He will make us proud.
