The Eels Premier team defeated the Hudson Havoc in game 3 of the round robin at Nationals. That meant the Eels went 2-1 in the round robin and finished 2nd seed overall in pool B. The Havoc was a pretty strong club out west defeating the first place Wisconsin River-kings to get to Nationals. The Eels brought them down scoring 6 unanswered goals winning 6-0
Today the Eels take on the Charlotte Rush the defending National Champs. Last year at Nationals it was all Eels vs the Rush in the final game. The Rush tipped the Eels and went on to win the crown. This season the Eels wanted so bad to have another bite at the Rush and the Nationals. Well we finished First place in the tough Florida Division, won the playoffs and thus advanced to Nationals. The Eels have a number of guys who were here last year and a number of new comers. Regardless we all know and appreciate the intense rivalry here. It is a good one A healthy one One that brings out the best in both teams.
Last night with the win over the Havoc we earned the right to advance to the Quarter Finals and ironically face our Southeast Rivals the Rush. The drama has been set and the boys are ready as i am sure the Rush are as well. These are two amongst the best in our league. No doubt this will be a great game
Good luck guys Go Eels
