Today the homestands. The Premier and Elite get to host the Jr Blades at home. Today the Eels will be sporting their Green away Jerseys for the fans. Next week they will be back to the Home Jerseys.

In a matinee game at 3:20 pm the Premier team squares off against the Jr Blades for the 2ndtime in as many nights as they played yesterday evening. Tonight at 9:00 pm the Elite team takes on the Jr Blades Elite.

The Eels Premier with its win secures it 1stplace in the Florida Division and over all #2 ranking in the USPHL Premier league. The Eels Elite team is looking to raise its margin in the Florida Division standings. Right now, it is 9-1-1 for a total of 19 points. In 2ndplace is the Jr Blades with 6 points. The Eels are ranked over all in the USPHL Elite Division #2. Now this is indeed very impressive to have two of its teams doing so well. Normally programs with two teams are not as strong as what the Eels are doing.

We are extremely proud of the players on both teams. Facing some adversity early has taught the guys to overcome battles. We had some injuries and players needed to step up. We also had some call ups, and this opened up opportunities for a host of players. The players compete very hard daily on the ice, so it is not surprising that they respond when called upon. Moreover, having the same coaching staff speaks volumes here as the systems and philosophies are the same.

No doubt when the Eels play the Blades the best of both programs come out. The intensity is elevated. Today we can assure you that there will be the best hockey in Southwest Florida. These players are here to showcase their wares their skill set and hockey sense. We know there are college coaches watching our games on HockeyTV so expect everything to be showcased today.
