The Eels are thrilled to announce that Justin Colton will be joining our junior program for the 2021-22 season. Justin 5’10 159 lbs. A 2003 LW from Parkland Florida He played last season for the Florida Alliance Tier I AAA midget team and has played high school for Stoneman Douglas High and previous played for the Florida Jr Panthers and the Palm Beach Hawks AAA. In 74 games Colton has accumulated 34 goals and garnered 43 assists for 77 points. Now that is impressive. GM Scarpaci comments, but when you see the way he plays , those numbers are not surprising.

Justin played for the Eels at the USPHL Spring NCDC Pre Draft  in May and impressed all the coaches present. We noticed he had excellent skill set which included a smooth skating style with timely acceleration. He shared the Eels coaches desire to drive to the net. We liked his appetite to score and create offensive opportunities. He was quick to get to loose pucks and equally aggressive to create turnovers on the other team. Moreover, despite it being a showcase, he was eager to back check. Colton had “Eels” written all over his game. We loved his fortitude and determination. No doubt in our mind he plays with a high compete level. In fact, he will be joining us in July at the Pro-Am Pre Draft back up in Foxboro MA.

The Eels coaches got to spend a considerable amount of time over that weekend with Justin and we loved his attitude and character. He has heart and lays everything out in a game. We are thrilled that he will be joining us in the Fall. We welcome Justin to our family
