The Florida Eels Elite have a lot riding on Sunday’s game vs the Tampa Juniors. The Eels moved up in the standings and are now tied with the Tampa Juniors. Both teams have 39 points. Tampa has a slight edge with one more win but the points are dead tied. They both played an equal number of games at 27. So a win on Sunday would elevate the Eels into sole possession of 1stplace in the Florida Division.  Tampa does play the Jr Blades this afternoon. They have gotten the better of the Jr. Blades this season so as is expected the Eels and Tampa will be neck on neck for the remainder of the season.

The Eels Premier team has a good margin between Tampa and themselves in points but these two teams always battle it out hard. We never can take Tampa for granted. They are a hard working and very talented club. They have strong goaltending and recently added some high end guys to their lineup. So once again we can expect a high paced game.

Both teams are getting ready for next weekend’s USPHL Florida Showcase in Tampa. They know that they cannot look that far ahead. They need to take care of business at hand and those are the games tomorrow against the Tampa Juniors.
