Florida Eels Win 3 of 4 Games in Charleston Vs the Colonials.

The Eels had come off a tough weekend against the Atlanta Mad Hatters. The Eels Premier dropped their first game and came back with an OT win in game 2. The Eels Elite were swept by the Mad Hatters. One would think that the standings had nothing to do with it. Both Eels teams were in 1st place in the Division and the Mad Hatters were much below them in both the Elite and Premier Divisions. The Eels who never tolerate complacency seemed to have caught that bug.In the end it was anything but what we were accustomed this season.

The Eels forecheck was absent. They had a lack luster back check. Defense were on vacation. It was a total abandonment of sorts in their style of play.

Last week the boys rebounded and put in a total week’s work.  They focused on the little things that got them to where they are today in this short season. They worked harder watched every video available and took matters into perspective. Not a complete over haul just some keen adjustments and tweaking and a hell of a lot of work ethic.

Well it sure paid off as they headed to Charleston SC to take on the Colonials. The Premier team took 3 of their 4 points. Winning game one comfortably and they lost in OT in game 2 but showed resolve as they came from behind pulling their goalie with 3 minutes remaining 6-5 and tied it up.

The Elite team won both games handedly with two solid performances as they swept their games.

Taking 7 of 8 points on the road is always great.
