The Florida Eels players got a special treat after their practices and scrimmage yesterday as they saw dozens upon dozens of NHL veterans’ rookies draft picks and NCAA Div. I players converge at the Foxboro Sports Center to complete in the renown Pro and College Development league. It was pretty impressive as they all were working out in pretty intense sessions and then had a number of very good games to keep up their conditioning. There were players from the Boston Bruins and many other NHL teams. Players from BU BC and other NCAA Div. I colleges as well. It was great as the Eels got to see these guys who already made it so to speak lay everything on the line and bring their best to the gym for summer training. No doubt these were high tempo and intense workouts.
GM Scarpaci and Coach Frank Scarpaci and Alex Sanchez were thrilled that their veteran players and prospects got a first-hand look to see for themselves how serious these pros and college players were in preparing for next season. This is a full-time effort. 12 months of the year in training. The timing was perfect for our guys at their own practices and games.
Today we kick off the Summer Pro AM Sr. Chowder Cup. Games today through Sunday
