After a weekend in Atlanta, the Florida Eels Premier return home to Florida where they took on cross town rival the Florida Jr. Blades, Wednesday afternoon. The Florida Eels returning to game play two days after returning home from playing the Atlanta Mad Hatters were ready to take the ice and gain a win.
The Florida Jr. Blades took the first point at 5:16 in the first period-taking a 1-0 lead. At 12:40 the Florida Eels, Viktor Gogh assisted by Alex Cochran were able to tie up the game 1-1. The Eels claimed the lead for the first time at 14:40, when Kenny Granacker assisted by Viktor Gogh claimed the Eels second goal. At the end of the first the Eels lead 2-1.
Owen Blyth assisted by Seth Morris claimed the Eels third goal at 2:29 in the second period. However, the Florida Jr. Blades closed the lead gap by one at 14:10. At the End of the second Eels led 3-2.
The Eels opened the third period, with a bang as Dominic Doyle assisted by Ian Dracoulis and Mitchell Wilson, scored goal four for the Eels. At 5:38, the Florida Jr. Blades closed the gap yet again, 4-3. The Eels continued to try to gain another point throughout the third period, as the Blades continued to try to tie up the game. In the end, the Eels maintained the 4-3 lead over the Florida Jr. Blades winning the game.
