Florida Eels Premier Team Sweeps The Tampa Juniors In Weekend Home And Away Series 5-2 and 7-2 Respectively.
The Eels Premier team is scoring hot of late. They won 5 of their last 7 games and one loss was in OT. This weekend they scored 12 goals to 4 and this was against the Tampa Juniors a solid club. Friday night in Tampa Gavin Media scored first and Nikita
Pinimyasov, scored 2nd and this was his 9th straight game tallying a goal. Then Jacob Handfast broke out of his scoring slum and put away two of his own while Jared Figueroa, did what he does best notched the 5th one. This was not only a solid offenseive game the Eels were equally tough on Tampa defensively. Tom Steere in net turned away 35 shots and allowed just 2 in a standout performance in goal. Kalinovskiy, Gage McNeish, playing up from the Elite team and JP Montmarquette,
The Eels were happy with their performance as they pounded 45 shots on Tampa’s Goalie . Their attack was systematic and continuos. The fore-check relentless.
On Sunday the Eels unleashed an all out offensive assault on Tampa throttling 65 shots on Tampa’s goalie who undoubtedly was exhausted by game’s end. Scoring for the Eels was as follows: Yan Kalinovskiy tallied 2 beautiful goals. Deemed Podrezov, Jace D’A lessandro, Jacob Handfast , Gabriel Hemstrom and Gavin Medina all scored one each. Lukas Aaw, Gabe Hemstrom , Nikita Pinimyasov and Jacob Hanfast collected a couple of assist while Demeed Podrezov , Jace D’A lessandro and Gage McNeish, all garnered an assists.
In net returning to true form for the Eels was Viktor Paulsson who turned away 39 of 41 shots.
This was an impressive set of wins and we were truly happy with the effort as well as the results. Next week we face DME again with an away game in Daytona Friday night and a homestand Sunday at the Fort Myers Skatium. DME has 24 points having played one more game ( 17) than the Eels (16). The Eels have 20 points. DME sitting in 1st place in the Florida Division and the Eels in 2nd on their heals. DME has 63 GF to the Eels 91. So it swill be a wide open exciting series and ought to be fun to watch.
