The Florida Eels Premier team felt a tough draw proved to be at the top in the league. They had no easy teams Faced with the top 4 teams throughout the league and in their respective Divisions they cam out strong.
Their first game was against the Northern Cyclones. Both teams remained tied at the end of regulation and after a 3 on 3 OT period. The Eels lost in the OT Shutout. They did earn 1 point out of 2 in that match
Game two the Eels fell to the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights 4-0 after pulling their goalie. Simply put sometimes you have a bad game. This was it. We simply didi not have all cylinders firing and went dry. The boys and coaches regrouped after the match and broke the game down frame by frame. And then redrafted their offense for game 3 against the Utica Comets
Against the Comets the Eels found their game. They were on fire putting 8 goals behind the Comets netminder and spotted 3
In game 4 vs the MJDP the Eels once again were focused and determined as ever. They were all dialed in. Like game 3 the Eels got key goals fro quite a few players. Scoring by committee. The Eels felt good about the weekend. They went 2-1-1 against very strong teams The quality of teams they would likely face at Nationals.
That is the key to its development. To face adversity and overcome it. We were very proud of the players who were resilient all weekend and had the fortitude and heart to battle back for a winning record at the Showcase
