Florida Eels Premier faced off against the Fort Wayne Spaceman on Saturday evening. After finishing a strong 6-1 victory over the Decatur Blaze earlier in the day, the Eels were determined to claim their second win of the day. With Russ Decoste between the pipes, the Eels lined up ready to play.
The Florida Eels worked tirelessly hoping to gain the first point of the game, but the Fort Wayne Spacemen continued to shut down their advances. At 12:24, in the first period the Fort Wayne Spacemen claimed the first point of the game. They quickly claimed their second goal at 13:11, and their third goal at 14:56 in the first. The Fort Wayne Spaceman closed the first period leading 3-0 over the Florida Eels.
Although, the streaming broadcasters , Fort Wayne fans and Fort Wayne Spacemen had their eye on victory and were counting the Eels out, the Eels were far from bowing in defeat. With each play they battled a little bit harder, and defended their zone a little bit stronger. At 15:11 in the second period, Yiorgos Bikakis assisted by Anthony Zebley and Xavier Charron claimed the first goal for the Florida Eels! The Eels closed the second period trailing 3-1. However, the Eels were on their way, and they would not be stopped.
The Spaceman fans and online streaming broadcasters still casting their votes in favor of a Fort Wayne win, the third period began. At 8:13 in the third, it was Viktor Gogh assisted by Teddy Feng that claimed the Eels second goal of the game, closing the gap again by one. At 10:58 in the third, Anthony Zebley assisted by Xavier Charron and Alex Cochran, grabbed the third goal for the Eels! The Eels and the Fort Wayne Spaceman were now tied 3-3 and heading into overtime.
The Eels dominated the ice, their fire was lit, they would not quit. Clearing the Spacemen from their house, the Eels continued to lay the pressure on Fort Wayne. Decoste was solid between the pipes, defending any advance that made it through the defensive Eels force. At 3:11 in the Overtime, it was Captain Anthony Zebley who skated down the ice, scoring the game winning goal for the Eels. Eels claimed a 4-3 victory over the Fort Wayne Spacemen.
