Congratulations to this week’s USPHL Premier Players Of The Week, out of the Southern Regions. The Southeast Division played at the USPHL Winter Showcase, and the Florida Division saw fierce games within the Sunshine State.
Forward: Jean-Simon Robidoux, Florida Eels.
Robidoux (‘98/St-Agathe-des-Monts, Que.) only recently joined the Eels at the USPHL Florida Showcase in December, but has made a huge impact already. He had a four-goal, two-assist game on Saturday against the rival Florida Jr. Blades, and came back to add an assist the next night. He also had two assists in the third game in four days between the two teams, on Jan. 9, for nine points in that three-game stretch. He has 10 points in seven games.
Defense: Lukas Aaw, Florida Eels.
The three recent wins helped the Eels to claim first overall in their division. In the trenches for this great effort for the Eels (on a 4-0 streak) has been the steady ‘99 out of Stockholm. He posted a goal and two assists in the Saturday win against the Jr. Blades, and had two more helpers on Sunday for a five-point weekend.
Goal: Alec Lindberg, Hampton Roads Whalers.
Lindberg (‘98/Bedford, N.H.) stopped 43 of 47 shots he faced over two games at the USPHL Winter Showcase, earning big wins over some strong Premier teams in the South Shore Kings and Connecticut Nighthawks.
