The Eels Elite team sparked by the Premier team’s 7-1 domination over the Blades Premier team  this afternoon, decided to put on a show of their own. The Blades gave the Eels the ultimate compliment when the dropped several Premier players to play against them in Saturday nights Elite game. The Eels came out on fire and responded by smothering the Blades with an aggressive fore-check, a denying back check, and a lethal offensive attack that delivered an impressive  4-0 shutout win. The Eels goaltending was spectacular turning away shot after shot after shot.

We knew the boys were focused all week. Very determined indeed. But when they hit the ice the Eels tilted the surface and delivered a significant blow to the Blades mission to garner a win over the Eels team. The Elite team did not care who they dropped and nor how many players were brought in.

Like the Premier team, the Eels Elite team  continues to dominate supremacy in Southwest Florida Hockey. The Eels Elite team simply had it tonight with razor sharp passing, relentless fore-checking and equally aggressive back checking. Their hunger and drive was evident the entire game and was reflected on the scoreboard. Goaltending was remarkable.

The two squads face-off again early Sunday morning at 9:00 am at Hertz Arena. The Eels are looking to close out the weekend with a sweep before heading home for Thanksgiving.
