The Florida Eels Premier and Elite both face a double header day, Saturday. After a split day on Friday, where the Elite pulled a win, and the Premier pulled a close loss, the Eels were ready to make their mark on Saturday. The Florida Eels came out fueled and fired up in today’s early games scoring a total 15 combined points, amongst the Premier and Elite against the Decatur Blaze.
The Florida Eels Premier faced off against the Decatur Blaze at 9:45am on Saturday morning. With Noah Van Herik at the helm between the pipes, the game came to a start. With a mission to WIN today’s game, the Eels were fired up and ready to grab the first point. At 17:56 Viktor Gogh assisted by Fernando Moreno and Brendan Dohan secured the first point of the game, for the Eels. At the close of the first, the Eels lead 1-0. During the second period, it was Kenny Granaker assisted by Anthony Zebley and Brendon Becker who secured the Eels second goal of the game, closing the second period with a 2-0 lead for the Eels.
However, it was the third period that the Eels engines were truly fired up. At 4:10, Alex Cochran assisted by Teddy Feng and Ian Dracoulis secured the Eels third goal. At 4:26 in the third the Decatur Blaze scored their one and only goal of the game. At 7: 39 in the third Teddy Feng assisted by Viktor Gogh scored his first goal of the game, and the Eels fourth goal. At 10:57 Teddy Feng assisted by Fernando Moreno scored his second goal of the game, the Eels sixth. At 11:35, Teddy Feng assisted by Viktor Gogh and Fernando Moreno, lit the lamp for the THIRD time, securing his third goal of the game, and the Eels sixth goal. The Eels pulled an impressive 6-1 victory over the Decatur Blaze. It was Teddy Feng who was recognized, by the USPHL Mid-West College Showcase Staff, at the end of the Premier game, as player of the game with three goals, and an assist he helped lead the team toward 6-1 victory.
The Florida Eels Premier will face off against the Fort Wayne Spacemen this evening (Saturday, November 9th) at 5:35 pm.
The Florida Eels Elite faced off against the Decatur Blaze, Saturday at 1:05pm. With Ethan Rotante, minding the pipes the game came to a start. The Eels had a fire lit and were ready to grab the first point of the game. At 7:52, Zayn Haddon-Harris assisted by Jackson Carnes, grabbed his first goal of the game and the first goal for the Eels. At 10:13, Nikita Shchevyev assisted by Konnor Bertrand, grabbed the Eels second goal of the game. At 11:42, it was Paxton Campbell assisted by Robert Gull, that secured his first goal of the game and goal three for the Eels. However, the Eels were not done this period, and at 18:10 Spencer Hambling, assisted by Jackson Carnes grabbed the Eels fourth goal of the game. At the close of the first, the Eels led 4-0 over the Decatur Blaze.
The Blaze scored their first and only goal of the game, at 3:45 in the second. At 8:12 in the second period, Brantlee Hoffman assisted by Paxton Campbell grabbed the Eels fifth goal of the game. Jackson Carnes assisted by Spencer Hambling and Zayn Haddon-Harris grabbed the Eels sixth goal at 15:35 in the second. At 18:04, Zayn Haddon-Harris assisted by Tyson Gagnon grabbed his second goal of the game, and the Eels seventh goal. The Eels closed the second period leading 7-1 against the Blaze.
Zayn Haddon-Harris assisted by Konnor Bertrand, scored his THIRD goal of the game and the Eels eighth goal at 4:17 in the third. However, it was Paxton Campbell assisted by Zayn Haddon-Harris, who scored his second goal of the game, that sealed the game with goal nine for the Eels at 18:35 in the third. The Eels pulled a 9-1 victory over the Decatur Blaze. It was Zayn Haddon-Harris who war recognized, by the USPHL Mi-West College Showcase Staff, as the star of the game for having three goals, and two assists during the Eels 9-1 victory.
The Florida Eels Elite will play again this evening (Saturday, November 9th) at 6:05 pm against MJDP.
