The Eels headed to Boston With 60 Players as its final tryouts. Two teams of players squared off at the USPHL Showcase and another 20 at the Sr Chowder Cup. One week after the Eels brought another 40 players to the Pro Am Junior Chowder Cup – a 1999 and a 2000 team. The Eels looking to create a futures-prospects  teams and set the seeds for its future.

All 5 teams did quite well garnering great experience and showcasing its players in front of so many scouts. Several of the players received invites to high level junior programs including New England Prep Schools and the USHL as well as offers to the Eels.

In May the Eels also sent 2 teams to the USPHL Spring Showcase and two to the Pro Am NHL Pre Draft. One player was invited to tryout of the USNTPD.
