Congratulations to this week’s USPHL Elite Division Players Of The Week from the Southern Divisions (Florida and Southeast).
Forward: Gage Dill, Florida Eels.
Dill (‘01/Fort Myers, Fla.) scored a goal and four assists in back-to-back games for a 10-point weekend against the rival Florida Jr. Blades. He finished February with 14 points in five games.
Overall, for the 2018-19 regular season, Dill had 74 points to finish seventh in the league scoring race, a few spots behind teammate Jake Court (90 points, third).
Defense: Zach Correia, Richmond Generals.
Correia (‘02/Brampton, Ont.) posted four assists in two games as the Generals won a pair to pull ahead of Hampton Roads and claim the USPHL Elite Southeast Division championship. Richmond won its final nine games of the season, in total.
Correia scored 13 points over his final 10 contests of the regular season, climbing to 31 points for the season, playing all 44 games along the way. He finished in a tie for 10th among all defensemen in the league.
Goaltender: Jack Perna, Atlanta Jr. Kings.
Perna (‘00/Sykesville, Md.) helped the Kings earn a shutout win and take another point from an overtime loss, both against Hampton Roads, to push the Kings officially into the fourth and final Southeast playoff spot.
Overall, Perna finished with 15 wins (tied for fourth in the Elite Division), and he was fifth in goals against average (2.18) and ninth in save percentage (.915).
