Folks be sure to join us Sunday at the Skatium or on HockeyTV. It will be the final home games against the Typhoon Elite at 10:30 am and Premier at 1 pm. Both Eels teams are undefeated against the Typhoon squads this season. They have been solid games but the Typhoon have not been able to overcome the depth of the Eels teams. Give Palm Beach credit , however, they are an expansion team. They always came to play and gave us solid games. They never quit. They have solid hard working players with a very good coaching staff. They have proven to be dedicated and did things right. Game day ops is better than many veteran programs It is good to compete against first class operators. We know what their sister program is like in New Hampshire – the Northern Cyclones and these guys will be just as strong.
The Eels are not taking tomorrow’s games for granted. No way The Typhoon are fighting for that last playoff spot against the Blades and Madhatters. There is no more dangerous than a team who is desperate and has everything to lose if they are not successful. They have some very talented players who can put the puck in the net on each of their teams – these guys can be game changers
The Eels will not change their game plan. This are important games for the Eels as well. They are posturing for seeding and will plan accordingly. Our goal was never to focus on first place. It was all about playing our best – day in and day out. If we capture the number one spot in our Division great. What is far more critical for us is to be ready for playoffs and win. Right down the line. To make sure all of our guys are ready. Advancing to Nationals has been and is our number one mission. We have worked extremely hard all year and will not let up now.
We have a scheduled game down in Palm Beach and we have a make up a game originally scheduled for last Thursday against Palm Beach; that game had to be postponed due to a fire in their building. We are not sure of the exact time date or venue yet We will keep you all posted.
