It has been an incredible scouting and recruiting venue for the Eels where we have signed well over 60 players over the years. Indeed, some of our top players were signed at this forum.

In fact even during the Shutdown last season across the USA and Canada, the CCM Showcase was one of the only showcases that continued to hist its event.

We have already spoken with quite a few players who are planning to be at the CCM Showcase and the Eels are very much looking forward to furthering those discussions. There have been traditionally well over 500 players who compete in this tournament type forum. The Eels always host a booth and the Florida Eels General Manager Frank Scarpaci traditionally is on the panel of Junior coaches who delivers a discussion of junior hockey opportunities. Our Eels coaches typically are on the bench coaching a number of games getting to know the players a little better.

Two Players From The Florida Eels USPHL Pre Draft Team Commit To College

The Reason why players participate in the post season showcases is to gain the experience  playing at a high level showcase and equally important to garner the exposure and visibility in front of college coaches and recruiters. Well, coach Scarpaci’s phone has been burning up from several college coaches who had a chance to watch the Eels players at the USPHL NCDC Showcase in Foxboro Ma.

The Eels entered 3 teams at that showcase. Most of the players were prospects for the Eels junior program for the upcoming season. But there were a number of players also looking to capture college playing opportunities. Well, right now two of our players received college commitments and we have 3-4 more who we expect to secure this week.

Another example of what the Eels do. Get players to college.

General Manager Frank Scarpaci is at the Madison Meltdown in Madison Wisconsin Scouting and Recruiting High End Players

The Eels return to Wisconsin as part of its recruiting footprint scouting and recruiting some of the USA top junior prospects. The Eels had traditionally been a fixture at the Mr. Mr. Showcase in Madison for over a decade but a few years ago the showcase director took on a college coaching job and this areas went dormant. But the Eels are back strong as GM Scarpaci is currently attending the Madison Meltdown where there will be approximately 20 teams and around 350+ prospects.

The Prospects come from across the USA so it is even more attractive than a regional base event. The Eels have made some pretty signifiant signings to date so we are looking to add to our program.

Premier Coach Frank Scarpaci and Elite Coach Alex Sanchez head to the NCDC Combine in Chicago to scout well over 230 players strong.

“We leave no stone unturned in our quest for top players……”

Premier Coach Frank Scarpaci and Elite Coach Alex Sanchez head to the NCDC Combine in Chicago to scout well over 230 players strong. The coaches j got home less than a month ago form the NCDC Combine in Detroit where we felt the competition was much stronger than the past 2 seasons.

The coaches just got home this past Sunday where the Eels hosted 3 teams made up of 60 players at the NCDC Pre Draft. The event had over 45 teams approx. 900 players

No doubt the Eels are combing the USA with its scouting staff in Canada and Europe combing the Globe for the best talent available. In Boston the Eels brought quite a few staff members including 34 alumni college players and pro alumni. The Eels provided 3 practices 3 scrimmages and discussion groups for its prospects

We will be announcing our signings soon.
