The Eels Premier Team Overpower The Madhatters 6-3 in Game one of the Playoffs.

One down one more to go in our road to Nationals.

The Florida Eels Premier team showed their dominance over the Madhatters in game one of the USPHL Florida Division playoffs. The Eels skill set shined all over the ice from each zone and each and every shift You could see the training, the determination, and unwavering commitment to win. It was from the outset When they boarded and disembarked from the bus. It was the way they entered the rink. The shear confidence that shined all over each player. This was not arrogance. It was exuding confidence. Then when they hit the ice, you could see they out skated the Madhatters. They were first on their hits. First at driving to the net. They were hungry with their eye on the package. Most of all they were disciplined. That was the key. Know when to skate away.

Well, like we told the Elite team savor the win. But we have a huge job ahead of us. One more win and we advance to Nationals. We play again Sunday and we have to bring even more to the game. The Madhatters backs are against the Wall and they will be throwing everything at us. So we need to respond in kind. As good as we were today we know we can and will be better. So stay tuned for great action

This Friday the Eels Elite Face Off for their final game of the season in Palm Beach

The Regular Season Comes to a close this Friday as the Eels take on the Typhoon

It has been an incredible season for the Florida Eels. Both teams clinched 1st place in the Florida Division.  That is impressive for one team to each that height but an all together another accomplishment for both teams to win their Divisions.

The Elite team does have one final game to play against the Palm Beach Typhoon. It is being played this Friday March 4th 3:30 pm at the Palm Beach Ice Works The Bus will leave at 11:00 am sharp from the Fort Myers Skatium Of course our guys have playoff in mind. They are 100% focused on the big picture. This week has been dedicated to fine tuning our game.Yes it could be #19 with a win but there is something far bigger: Making sure all players are healthy, ready and prepared for the playoffs.

If you can please join us live There will be NO HockeyTV as the facility does not have it there They do have Live Barn but we are not a subscriber to that item

The Florida Eels Elite Team go 18 Straight Wins – As they Hand it to the Jr Blades in Their Final Home Game of the Season and its Final Game between the Two Clubs.

To say the Eels were dialed in is the understatement of the year. All cylinders were firing and they rolled players through the lineup keeping all of its players fresh and ready for their upcoming playoff run. This shows the depth of this team. It was nice to reach 18 straight wins but the key here is to continue to play our game, our style our system. Not to react to the other team and their game. We stay focused. Opponents find it difficult to read the Eels as they continue to change up what they are doing. Moreover, the depth of this squad is phenomenal.  Look at the stats and you will such balance in the scoring and its lines. They are 4 lines deep. There is such comradery among the players. This is what a team needs to be in going to playoffs. Not one player is concerned about his own individual stats. It is all about the team. Nd they get it. Defense first. You can see it in the forecheck as they smother opponents  and the Eels puck retrieval. Then they are equally suffocating on their back checking responsibilities. And when it comes time to score, they do it Averaging 5-7 goals for a game and with outstanding performances day in and day out in net.

The cross town rivals the Jr Blades felt the Eels power. The Eels came out like Bees swamming all over them. When the Eels were hit they withstood the pressure. They played with discipline. They knew the Blades would push and the Eels thawed and tempered their attack. And the frustration set in and the Eels pushed hard on the Blades netminder pounding 43 shots on net compared to 18.

The Eels have one remaining game against the Palm Beach Typhoon. That game is scheduled to be played Friday 3:30 pm in Palm Beach  The  Eels know magic 19 is in the waits.

Florida Eels Premier Team Defeats Jr Blades 9-2

The Florida Eels Close Season With A  Clear and Convincing  9-2 Win Over the Jr Blades

The Eels finish the regular season as one of the hottest Premier team’s in the league. 10 straight wins. Three of those games by 8+ goals for. They captured first place in the Florida Division over taking the Tampa Juniors by 6 points. They are ranked 7th in the league and 6th in My Hockey Rankings in the league 17th overall Nationally. The key here is how wel they have played over the past 10 games.

Watching these games you can see how determined the Eels players are. They play with a surgical precision. I have never seen such passion, and determination of players With a shortened bench rather than reach fatigue they showed resolve from their intense training and tilted the rink to its favor. When the Blades came out hitting, hoping to temper the Eels potent offense, the Eels responded in kind. The Eels showed its strength and shifted into 2nd gear. The Eels went up 4-0 .  The Blades scored 2 power play goals.  The Eels coaches settled things down and regrouped. “Stay focused and stick to our game”. Indeed, they did with scoring 5 unanswered goals in the 3rd period

Stayed disciplined.  Keep their mind on the mission Our goal all year. Advance from the Florida Division Playoffs and Nationals. It is amazing how tight these young men are. The comradery is unparalleled. It reelects upon their training from August. 4-5 hours per day. They are hungrier and more determined than ever. This team has an unwavering commitment to each other.

Eels Elite Make it Magic 17 Yes 17 Straight Wins

17 Straight Wins For The Eels Elite Team

The Eels Elite team strike 17 straight wins. What an  Incredible accomplishment for this young team. They defeated the Palm Beach Typhoon in unfamiliar territory that is – an olympic size rink. The two teams had to play at the Palm Beach Ice Works Arena yesterday as one of the remaining make up games between the two clubs. As we all know the Palm Beach Ice Zone was not ready due to a Fire in the facility.

The Eels traveled to the Palm Beach Ice Works to square off against their cross state rivals the Palm Beach Typhoon. When the Eels arrived they were not completely ready for the larger ice surface It took teh Eels players a little bit to adjust before they took control of the game. This Eels team is indeed a very young group of players but they have tremendous skill set and they are excellent skaters.

The scoring was pretty balanced as we saw quite a few players get involved in the points.

JJ Diaz notched his first goal as an Eel. Carl Ingalls got a pair of goals Ben Allen on Defense scored a big one. Kaleb Harrop scored another huge one for the team. And we saw Riley Smyth and Rick Hughes get one each.

Jake Mork had another strong game in net.

The boys keep rolling looking for number 18 against the Blades on Sunday 10:30 am at the Fort Myers Skatium

The Eels Elite Team Take Sweet 16 as they Down the Jr Blades 8-1

The Eels Elite team keep rolling as they win their 16th straight win. This was a huge win for the guys. The win was a strong one 8-1 over their cross town rivals. But it was more than a win. A 8-1 win. The Eels were dialed in from the drop of the puck They fought for every inch of the ice surface. They hit every Blade who touched the puck. They drove hard and often to the net. The boys are on a mission this year. This is not a last 2 or 3 week reassurance. They have not loss since December. This is something they have been training for since August.

They train 4+ hours per day. They are a unit A true team and water cannot seep through their hands They are strong upfront on the back end and in net. They are not cocky or arrogant. No They excuse confidence and execute

A job well done. Next up Palm Beach looking for #17
