Congrats to Eels alumni goalie Karlis Meszargs for making it to the Final NHL Draft Rankings.  Karlis played on the Eels Elite squad that season. It is an example of how players come to the Eels Elite team and develop. The name of the game is Player Development and Meszargs is a living example of this. He was teh Eels top Elite goalie that season. We expected him to have a strong second year on his return but  Covid  19 hit and the Hockey world in Europe and in the USA  came to a halt.  He continued to mature in Europe and  went on to the Latvian World Juniors and HK Riga in the MHL and

has developed into a world class player. We are all very excited for him and wish

him good luck and the very best….. Go Eels !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Eels coaching staff is thrilled to announce the return of Devin Shepherd . He brings veteran experience to the team. He is big and uses his size to his advantage.  A huge presence on the ice. 6’3″ 1090 lbs A consummate threat in front of the net. He punishes opponents with his hard hitting style. Relentless on the fore-check and smothers on the back check. He was a major factor last year in the Premier team’s Divisional Title, Playoff win and National Advancement. He echoes loud and clear  “We have a job still to do and that is bring home a National Title”  Welcome back ….

Florida Eels Are Excited To Announce the Signing of Veteran Forward JOE LOBRUTTO to its lineup for next season
Joe has size at 6’2″ 185 lbs speed and scoring touch with 21 goals and 21 assists in junior hockey. He is very comfortable around the net as he also had 25 goals and 17 assists in one year of high school hockey. No doubt he has the insatiable appetite to score. He brings veteran status as well to the Eels. This is a high character player and we are thrilled he is joining us this season.

The Florida Eels are very excited about the signing of Max Ciepiela to its program At 6’5″ 200 lbs. he brings muscle  and size to an already huge team. No doubt he uses his size to his advantage in over taking his opponents. He physically out works opposing defensemen in the offensive zone. He also is a natural goal scorer with 22 goals last season and 24 assists. He is very comfortable around the net looking at his high school stats in 39 games he scored 36 goals and notched 39 assists. We are thrilled he joined us this season and will add to the Eels weapons.

In 89 games played at Juniors Jared has accumulated 21 goals and 30 assists thus averaging over 1/2 point per game. With the Eels explosive offense we expect that to rise to over a point per game.

Eels bolster this year’s roster with Veteran Presence

The Eels are excited to announce that veteran forward Mark Philipps has rejoined the team for the upcoming season. mark was a key component of the Eels Premier team’s success last season as they won their Divisional title, swept the playoffs and advanced to the semi finals at Nationals. The Eels have some unfinished business in their quest for a National title and Mark is a key to that end.

He is a very physical player with solid skill set. He accumulated 6 goals and 16 assists last season. He was one of the most effective forwards shutting down opposing teams. He is known for his suffocating style.

The Florida Eels are excited to announce the signing of Bryson Miller to its program. This is an experienced  junior player. His veteran status will prove invaluable to the Eels program. Last season in 44 games he scored 15 goals and notched 18 assists.  With the Eels high octane offense he is looking to establish himself as a goal scorer with the Eels. He has a nose to drive to the net. He is a very determined young man who plays with a high compete level.  He is a 2002 and very hungry to make his mark with the Eels and become one of our college advancements. Jackson Carnes Marks His Return to the Eels Next Season

Jackson has the heart of a lion……

When you think of hard working, determination, determination and loyalty one player comes to mind. Jackson Carnes. Jackson came in a s rookie and took it all in. This kid is one hell of a worker. He was first to the rink and one of the last to leave all last season. He says he learned a lot form the veteran players and now is ready to make his mark on the Eels

Indeed this summer he already has shown his commitment to player development. He joined the Eels in Boston for the USPHL PreDraft and the Pro Am Pre Draft. He has been practicing with the Eels for the last 3 weeks in Boston as part of our summer showcase teams. He played in 12-15 games. 9 practices and is hungry. He is returning to attend the Pro Am sr Chowder Cup. in July.

We are excited that Jackson is returning to the program, He has a heart of a lion.

Florida Eels Boast the Return of Anderson Libby

The Florida Eels are very excited about the Re-Signing of Anderson Libby. This young man brought an enormous amount of energy to the Eels teams last season. He is the type of player who thrives on getting under the skin of opposing players and upsetting their game plan. This summer he has been working on his offense and has been tearing it up on the goal production on his high school  team. This extra determination and dedication to improve his game and foster his player development is indicative of his unwavering commitment to his task and his Eels team. We expect Libby to have a break out year. We are all very excited about his return. He was part of the Eels Elite team that won 22 straight games last season, that won its division and playoff run. That advanced and competed at the USPHL Nationals. He echoes “We have some unfinished business before us”
