15 Shutouts Says It All ……. Jake Mork Inks His Return to the Eels

The Eels are thrilled to announce 3rd year veteran Jake Mork will once agin being leaving Wisconsin  for warmer climate to be back with the Eels. Jake brings great size 6’2″ 170 Lbs. He has outstanding skill set. Quick his feet,  lightning glove, tracks shooters outstanding rebound control and cool as a cucumber in net.  In 18 games this past season he had 15 shutouts. A 1.88 GAA .939 sav% Moreover in the playoffs he secured  2 shutouts.  This kid is a winner He had similar results at the Janesville Jets Tier I AAA and High School

Jake tasted it last season. It was right there on his fingertips . He is hungry and wants more. So again unfinished business  on his plate.

The Eels are Excited to Announce the Signing of Veteran Forward Bailey Kaiser to its line-up. Bailey is a two-year veteran of junior hockey and will be entering his 3rd full season.  He is 5’8” 170 lbs. A 2002 player who is looking to maximize his potential and ready himself for college play. We have seen him play in our tough Florida Division and he did quite well. He is comfortable around the net having   scored 26 goals and notched 24 assists in 85 games for nearly .70 points per game.  Bailey has solid skill set A hard working young man.  A good skater. Determined on the fore-check and equally hard on the back check. He has a nice shot. And  he is very hungry player. Serious and dedicated. His points show he loves to drive to the net. He has a great attitude. Bailey is familiar with the Eels and its rich and storied legacy. He wants to be part of it.  and is looking to help propel the Eels to a National Championship. The Eels are thrilled to announce the return of Goalie Duncan Rolleman to the Eels lineup for next season.

We are indeed excited that Duncan is returning to the Eels. He brought a one-two punch to the Premier squad last season effectively claiming ownership to the Florida Division and the league in general. He brings enormous size to the crease at 6’5″ but it doesn’t  not end there. He is quick, agile, athletic and has a lightning fast glove. He challenges his shooters and stonewalls their attack. Very strong on the rebound. No doubt he is ripening into a NCAA quality goalie.

Rolleman no doubt played a large part in the Eels Premier team’s success in winning the tough Florida Division, its playoffs and march to Nationals. Look at his stats: In 22 games played he earned a 2.32 GAA with a .912 Sac %  Before arriving to the Eels,  in 20 GP he earned 1.97 CAA and a .934 sav.% This kid is the real thing

This is a high character young man and he not only has the tangible skill set but equally possesses the intangibles : Unwavering commitment to win, unmatched determination and fortitude. Duncan like his other returning teammates have some unfinished business to do….

The Florida Eels are thrilled to announce the return of 6’4″ 220 lbs. Veteran Defensemen Neil Campbell

The Eels are excited about the return of 3 year veteran Neil Campbell to its roster. At 6’4″ 220 lbs brings huge size to his game. He definitely uses his size to his advantage. An intimidating  force in all 3 zones. He brings unparalleled  enthusiasm and energies to the ice and in the locker room . A total team player. Last year an assistant captain. He has unwavering commitment to the the Eels. He has tremendous work ethic. A very bright young man who will have quite  bit of college options in front of him. Campbell played a huge part over the last 3 seasons in the Eels success and was a key player in the Eels  Elite team advancing to Nationals last season. Neil knows full well what our destination is and how he has some unfinished business this season. Welcome back Neil.

He is another 6’2” big body who uses his size to his advantage. He has excellent skill set, explosive speed and can score….

The Florida Eels are thrilled to announce its signing of defensemen Kyle Ziemba to it’s program.  He is another 6’2” big body who uses his size to his advantage. He brings experience both in junior hockey and in the Tier I AAA midget circuit.  He  has strong skill set and explosive  speed on the back end with great vision in jumping in on the transition game.

 

He has an impressive record coming into the Eels. In 29 games last season he scored 5 goals and notched 7 assists making sure he took care of his own D-Zone. But Ziemba is a proven offensive player when given the opportunity. In high school in 35 games, he scored 38 goals and 38 helpers; while in AAA in 29 games he put 20 goals in the net with 15 assists. Those are some serious numbers. 63 goals and 65 assists coming into the Eels. This is the style of Eels play following into the footsteps of many past great Florida Eels Defensemen.

 

He is thrilled to be joining the Eels who have a rich and storied legacy. A program that has consistently proven to be the best in the league. We welcome Kyle to the Eels.

The Florida Eels Are Extremely Excited About the Return of Damon Kiyawasew to the Eels. Damon was one of the Eels most exciting players on the ice. He brought incredible energies and emotions to the ice and lockeroom. He is a proven goal scorer with garnering close to a point per game with the Eels. Very few players brings the passion as Damon. Almost every goal was a highlight reel. He made moves that undressed opposing goalies. He was one of the most sought after players by college recruiters.

He has the insatiable appetite to score….Over a point per game…..

 

The Eels are thrilled to announce the return of forward  Kayde Budgell to the Eels lineup for next season. Talk about a natural goal scorer- Kayde Budgell is there. This young man has it all.  He is focused and determined. A smooth skater with explosive acceleration, outstanding  vision, has razor sharp passing, great hockey instinct,  plays with a high compete level, and possess an  unwavering commitment to win –  and he can score!!!!

U18 63 games 36 goals 45 assists for 81 points 1.29 ppg

U16 106 games 45 goals 54 assists  99 points close to 1.00 PPG

He produces for his team in every game. He does it quietly however . A Peter Forsberg type player. He has the insatiable appetite to score but without fanfare. It is all about the team.   We welcome  Kayde Budgell as he too has some unfinished business this year and that is winning a National title.

In May the Eels Showcase Teams Competed in 2 Major Showcases 6 teams 100 Players

Round 1 of Eels Tryouts 100+ Players 6 teams In Boston at USPHL and Pro Am Pre Draft

The Florida Eels hosted 100 Players – 6 Teams at the USPHL Spring Showcase and the Pro Am Pre Draft Showcase in Boston as part of its Spring and Summer Showcase series and Tryouts.

The Eels competed in the Jr A Division and the College Open. Our teams did quite well in both showcases and we got to see 100+ prospects trying out for teh Eels teams for the 2022-23 season.

In July the Eels continue  their search for top prospects for its teams. It will have 6 teams in the Pro Am Sr Chowder Cup (2002-2006) and 6 in the Pro Am Jr Chowder Cup (2007-2006)  and 3 in the Mini Chowder Cup (2008-09).  This year we even have a team in the women’s Division for a total of 20 teams in the Spring and Summer events. 400+ players
