Florida Eels Win 3rd game in OT to Advance to Quarter Finals

The Florida Eels took their 3rd game at the Nationals to another OT win. Yes this was their 3rd OT win at Nationals. This Game was against the Utah Outliers . They are the top team in the Mountain Division and they were ranked number 2 in the league rankings. The Eels are ranked number one in the league so it was only fitting that these two teams squared off at Nationals.

This was one of the best games of the season. No doubt Utah was very good and they surely tested the Eels. The Eels were ahead 4-2 going into the final minutes of regulation and Utah  pulled their goalie and was poised with 6 attackers. With a throttled firepower they tied things up 4-4 and forced it into OT.

The building was once again packed over 60 Eels families totaling over 200 Eels from both its teams and over 30 from Utah. approximately 100+-  Then there were an additional 200+- folks glued to the game up in the stands. That was incredible. Great atmosphere. The support from everyone there clearly had a positive impact upon our players. We have had an outpour form our Alumni as well. Players and parents all wanting us to win the Nationals.

This did not upset the resolve, fortitude and determination of this Eels squad. In just short order when  Eels  forward DAMON KIYAWASEW came flying back with his high octane offense and put one pass the Utah Goalie and secured their win.

The Eels now advance to the quarter Finals and face the Metro Jets. They are one of the top teams in the league. Please join us at 7:30 pm live or on Hockey TV

Florida Eels Elite Defeat the Northern Cyclones 3-1 to Close out Their Nationals

Eels Go 1-1-1 with 4 Points missing Quarter Finals by 1 point

The Eels Elite Down top Seed the Northern Cyclones 3-1 in their Final Game of the Pool Play. The Eels went 1-1-1 for 4 points. They missed advancing over the Hitmen  who had 5 points. The boys were on fire and pounded the Cyclones through out the game. The shots were 2-1 Eels.  They finished things the right way. This was a tough game for the boys They could have tanked and not cared but they played like they were advancing at Nationals.

We are very proud of our boys. They won their regular season, won the playoffs and advanced to Nationals. They were ranked Nationally higher than about 15 Premier teams. These boys have unwavering determination dedication resolve and high skill set. We were 12 points ahead of the 2nd place team in the Florida Div and as many as 25 points ahead of others. Incredible. These are the same boys who experienced the Hurricane and had to overcome  insurmountable adversity. Some will be advancing to college. About 5 young men this season. Others hopefully will be returning to the Eels.

As GM I am honored that you allowed me and my family to be part of your lives while being on the Eels. We wish you the very best.
