Florida Eels Headed to the Americas Showcase in St Louis April 20-24th 2023
For the past decade the Eels have attended the Americas Showcase in St Louis. This is the USA Hockey High School All Star Event. The Eels have recruited and signed numerous stars from its teams from this venue. We are excited to be returning there to once again scout and recruit prospects.
America’s Showcase was founded in 1985 to provide the nation’s premier high school players an opportunity to be scouted by high-level programs so those players may further their hockey careers in prep school, juniors, college, and beyond. Presently, our five day showcase consists of boys and girls divisions represented by at least 24 boys teams and 8 girls teams that compete in over 50 competitive hockey games gives the scouts on-hand (and watching online) plenty of opportunities to recruit from the wealth of talent on the ice. The success of our event is ultimately measured by how many of those players are able to use America’s Showcase as a springboard to a successful future in the upper echelon of hockey programs in North America.
For the first time, this tournament will be held in what is deemed, The “Heartland of Hockey”, St. Louis, MO. The host rink, the St. Peter’s Rec Plex is conveniently located 20 minutes from St. Louis International Airport and is nested in an area that includes Hospitality, shopping and restaurants. The Rec-Plex is a world class facility featuring two separate Complexes, the North building which includes 1 rink and the South Building which includes 2 rinks. The Girls showcase will take place in the North building and boys in the South.
