Florida Eels Entered Two Florida All Star Teams in the USPHL NCDC Prospects Showcase

We are excited to share with you the news that The Florida Eels junior program just wrapped up an incredible showcase that was held at the USPHL NCDC prospects showcase in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The Eels brought two teams of prospects from across the USA, Canada, and Europe to compete in this prestigious event and collectively, they were known as the Florida All Stars.

The players arrived two days before the showcase and were given an opportunity to practice and scrimmage games to better prepare themselves for the main event. With coaches from our heralded junior program, along with guest coaches from Florida, Canada, and college, this was an incredible opportunity that will speak volumes towards their player development.

Our players participated in 6 official games during the showcase and had the opportunity to compete against some of the top prospects in Tier 2 hockey. It was a remarkable experience, given that we did not have a single Tier 2 player on our rosters. However, despite this, we performed extremely well and showcased our talents brilliantly.

The Florida Eels are excited to announce that goaltender Duncan Rolleman has committed to Wilkes University for the 2023-2024 season.

Eric Hambling Commits to Kent State University

Congrats to Eric Hambling as he commits to Kent State University NCAA Div 1 men’s hockey program. Eric is 5 year veteran of junior hockey. A solid two way Defensemen. He owns the D Zone and makes it extremely difficult to score on his net minder. He plays a very physical game who wears down opposing forwards along the boards and in the crease. He moves the puck out of zone with a razor first pass or joining in the line rush.

He owns a very heavy shot form the blue line and is a constant threat to opposing goalies.

He will do very well in college. He is 100% dedicated to his team. An unwavering commitment to win. He is very excited about playing at the Next Level and thrilled to be joining Kent State
