The Florida Eels Are Very Excited to Announce the Signing of forward Adam Burtzlaff 5’10” 165 pounds from Colorado.
Adam is one of over 12 players who the Eels signed from the USPHL Spring Showcase and the Pro-Am NHL Pre-Draft last May in Massachusetts. Those events were one of the strongest recruiting forums for the Eels over the off-season. Adam Joined us in May for the Showcases and we were indeed very impressed with his skill set.
Premier Coach Frank Scarpaci commented, we played against some very good teams in New England at both of these showcases and Adam’s playing ability was surely put to test and he did very well. We readily saw he is a great character kid and fit right in with many of the Eel veteran players and new prospects at the Showcases.
Adam has a strong blue-collar work ethic. You can see in the way he plays.
He is being very hungry and despite being his first opportunity at Juniors, he back down; and he was never complacent and continued to push the envelope in games. This is the will to win that we like in players comments GM Scarpaci
Elite Coach Alex Sanchez said “he loves his speed and quick shot. He has the right attitude and you can see how he interacts on the bench…He wants to make himself better. Very coachable” Premier Coach Frank Scarpaci said .
He has so much upside. Good hands Nice Puck Control…. Can get the puck on net…He has raw talent and we will develop him into complete player”
GM Scarpaci concludes, Adam comes highly recommended by one of the top family advisers in the Mid-West. After having him join us at the Spring Showcases we were even more thrilled with him signing. Welcome to the Eels
