Tampa Juniors vs the Florida Junior Blades

Today at Hertz Arena in the Premier Division the Tampa Juniors square off vs the Florida Jr. Blades. The Blades are looking to eliminate Tampa and head to Nationals, and the Tampa Juniors of course will be bringing everything to the ice to tie things up and send the series to Monday. Best of 3 wins. These teams are equally matched and this ought to be a very exciting game.

The Florida Eels vs the Florida Junior Blades

In the Elite Division the Junior Blades face elimination if they lose to the Florida Eels Elite team. The Eels got the best of the Jr. Blades Friday with a pretty convincing win over the Blades 7-2. But nobody can count the Jr. Blades out. There are an extremely well coached team and there is plenty of talent on that team. Those boys have a lot of grit as well and there is nothing more dangerous than a team facing elimination. They have some last year guys and they want nothing more than to win it all in their final season of junior hockey.

The Eels are an extremely talented team with a solid mixture of veterans and young guys. But one thing for sure they do not play like rookies. They are extremely explosive and can score. In the regular season they were top 2 in the league in goals for.  They do not rest on their laurels nor are they complacent. They know they have to out work their opponents and that has been their hallmark. They are deep in all 4 lines and are strong in all periods as shown Friday night. Down by one after the 1st period they did not panic and stormed back in the 2nd and scored 4 goals and opened up even further in the 3rd with 3 more.

This game ought to be very exciting. For one team the opportunity to advance to Nationals. For the other team to keep hope alive.  No doubt the Eels will be there with 300+ fans so we can expect a packed house and a loud one at that.
