Florida Eels Elite Team Weekend Ice Cap
The Florida Eels Elite team continue on fire and on a roll. They swept the Jr Blades over the weekend. On Thursday the Eels downed the Blades 3-2. A game in which they pounded 49 shots on the jr Blades net minder. It is that explosive offense that has contributed to their current standing that has positioned them in first place in the Florida Division and over all 2nd in the entire USPHL Elite League.
The Eels have scored 59 GF and only allowed a stingy 32. They are 1st in the league in GF and 3rd in GA Keep in mind this is a team with 18 rookies. They are learning every day and eager to continue with their development. It is a process. And look how good they have done. We are very proud of these young men,
On Sunday the Eels and Jr Blades again came out where they left off. The Blades were so frustrated Thursday as they were edged out by one goal. they thought they could trip up the 1st place Eels. Indeed, the Blades unleashed over 40 shots on the Eels goalie, but the Eels put on a show of their own with 48+ on the Blades netminder. The Eels and Blades ended regulation tied 3-3 and went into a 3 on 3 OT. At the end of OT 3 on 3 the score remained tied.
