Congrats Trevor Voyda Commits to McKendree University

The Florida Eels are so excited to announce its 309th college commitment. Trevor Voyda Commits to   McKendree University. Voyda has played 5 seasons of junior hockey 4 with the Florida Eels Junior program. He is a perfect example of how our player development works. Trevor defines what determination, dedication, and commitment is. Every year he worked that much harder to elevate his game. To improve incrementally every aspect of his game. There is no doubt he is one of the most improved players ever to step on skates for the Eels.

He was so determined from his 1st season with us to be the best defensemen he could. He indeed ripened into that lot. He bought in to say the least. He played the hybrid style coach Frankie Scarpaci wanted him to play. That two-way D man who could defend his zone, protect the house, relentlessly beat down any opposing player in front of his crease while he also developed into a mobile defensemen who could join the line rush and place forcible pressure on the opposing net-minder. Indeed, Trevor was downright lethal on the opposing blue line

Well is accomplishments and skill set was captured by the scouting eyes of many college scouts and coaches. He was one of our most touted players. He had many tough decisions to make for the upcoming academic year for college. He and his family took their time visited campuses and felt great with their final decision to attend  McKendree University . It is a great fit. And the  McKendree University  really likes Trevor What a great fit.

With Trevor they are not just getting an outstanding hockey player. They are getting a solid student and an incredible individual. Impeccable character. A good citizen. A loving supporting family. We are very proud of Trevor and he will be missed. Young men like Voyda are not replaced easily. We wish him the very best and know he will make us proud.
