The Eels believe we struck pay-dirt at the Americas’ Showcase last Spring in scouting recruiting and signing Grady Duden to its program. We honestly feel Grady was the top forward at the showcase. The Americas Showcase is the USA Hockey Nationals for High School All-Stars. It presents the top high school players from their region and Districts at one major showcase. It allows coaches and scouts from junior programs to evaluate the talent over 5-6 days.

The Eels like always took our time and focus on just a handful of players. After a week of scouting we were satisfied and convinced Grady was the player we wanted. He also showed over the season he had the knack to put the puck in the net. He had some impressive numbers In 19 games he scored 15 goals and notched 20 assists for 35 points.

We saw this same appetite and drive at the showcase. He was determined as ever and we believe he will bring this same high compete level to the Eels. He has solid overall skill set and has a great attitude

He elected to come to the Eels as we are a clear pathway to college.
