Eels Premier team win over the Infantry in OT in Game One of three Series

The Eels Premier team had a good old fashion barn burner yesterday against the Columbia Infantry in game one of their 3 game series. At first it looked like it would be a repeat of the Elite game where their brothers unleashed a 10-1 smashing of the Infantry Elite squad. But after the Eels Premier team went up 3-0 the wheels started to come off.

No doubt there were a myriad of factors such as the flu, injuries and the drive. But we wont accept excuses and neither will our players. They went down 4-3 and 5-3 but the boys kept to their structure  and scored and fought back to reach a tie  6-6 with only minutes remaining in regulation. All tied up 6-6 and the game went into OT. There the Eels regained their composure and their experience and training drove them to charter the course and notch the game winner.

The boys were glad to bring home the win. It was a tough one but they have played quite a bit of hockey lately and not all will be pretty. But a win is a win and we will take it

The two squads face off tonight 1t 7:45 pm
